"I do"... on the second thought...

This morning while watching an American talk show in AFN channel, I noticed their topic about having second thoughts on getting married. They had cited some not-so-famous celebrities having doubts before exchanging their “I DO’s”. It’s like giving the viewer’s especially future brides and grooms some hints or overviews before settling down.

Remember ko tuloy yung laging issue about kasal. Magbibiro pa nga yung iba na bigyan mo daw ng helmet ung mapapangasawa mo at baka matauhan pag nauntog. Although medyo sa iba nakakaasar pero dapat talaga pag-isipan ding mabuti kung ready ka na nga to spend the rest of your life with your partner. Sabi nga ng matatanda, hindi kanin na isusubo mo tapos pag ayaw mo na pwedeng mong iluwa. Marriage is one of the most sacred and important part of anyone’s life unless you don’t have any plans of being with just ONE person in your whole life. Another thing, wag pairalin lang ang LOVE in making your decision para magpakasal. Marriage isn’t only about love. Love can fade especially if not well taken care of. Napabayaan ika nga. Marami kasi nagpapakasal tapos pag wala na yung sinasabi nilang “SPARK” can lead to separation lalo na pag hindi napag-uusapan ng maayos. Minsan love fades when either of the couple let OTHER people enter into their lives. Bakit ko nasabing “LET”? Anybody can avoid having a third party in any kind of relationship unless you entertain and let them interfere with your current relationship. It all depends on each person, how they will handle “tukso” around them and how they will make their relationship healthy.

Married life is not as sweet as anybody wishes it to be. There are ups and downs and you should be prepared for it physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually. Physically and financially, you have to work and earn harder for your family’s future. Emotionally, there will be some arguments, if not petty quarrels, that you will encounter and sometimes for other couples eh ginagawang dahilan para maghiwalay. It’s childish sabi nga nila. Make or break hehehe.

Having seconds thoughts on saying “I DO” only means you’re not yet prepared to embark in a different phase of your life. Esep esep bago magsisi sa huli.
