Heart Care

Enlarged Heart, also called as Heart Enlargement, Cardiomegaly, Osteochondrodysplasia Syndrome or Athlete Heart. It is a sign that your heart is overworked.

An enlarged heart is often present during heart failure, when the heart cannot pump adequate blood to meet the needs of the body. Though it can be cured through series of medications, we never know if a person can still survive even from minor attacks.
I’ve written this issue in view of the fact that my father was diagnosed by this kind of ailment. I know it’s hard on his part specially the seizures that’s why we always remind him to take precautionary measures in order for this not to frequently attack him. Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, eating too much fatty foods rather avoid fatty foods, eat more vegetables, avoid working too much (exerting too much force like lifting any heavy things). His last attack came when he tried to walk around with his dog, syempre the dog is stronger than him that pulled him too much, ayun napagod and fell unconscious in front of our neighbor’s house. Luckily there were bystanders who saw the incident and helped him. Hay.. pag talaga tumatanda, tumitigas ang ulo. Eventhough how many times you try to say don’t do this or don’t do that, eh ginagawa pa din.

We hope and we pray for his safety always. We always remind him to be more careful coz this kind of sickness was the cause of my uncle’s death, though he may had survived the attack but his heart is really weak at that time and sadly there was no one with him when it hits him badly.
